For example, in order to fully benefit from Crackerjacks and use all areas of the site, users must register. During registration all users are required to provide contact information. Principals are also required to provide information on the nature of their business, and contractors on information relevant to their work and education history. Also, you may choose to take advantage of the website’s resources, such as timesheet and billing templates. If you opt-in for this service, you will need to enter information such as your IRD number onto the form.
We will use your personal information to contact you throughout the contract engagement process. It will also be used to send you site newsletters and reports, which you can choose not to receive by simply clicking unsubscribe from the email. When it is necessary for us to do so, we will also use this information to send you service related announcements; for example if our service is temporarily suspended for maintenance.
We may use your personal information to conduct address verification or credit checks for invoicing and billing purposes and to enrich your profile and searchability. In order to provide some of the services, we may use external information to supplement your personal information.
The main Personally Identifiable Information collected by us is as follows:
Name, Photograph (Contractors), Contact address, Email address, Linkedin details, Landline and Mobile phone numbers, Career history information, Referee and reference information.
Crackerjacks uses log files in order to enhance your experience on our site and to analyse trends.
Log files gather information such as which URL you just came from, which URL you go to next, what browser you are using and your IP address. This information is used to analyse trends. Users who log in have their IP address recorded, which can be used to identify a user; however Crackerjacks will treat this information as personal information.
Cookies are small pieces of information that are stored on a user’s computer. We use session cookies to make it easier for you to navigate our site, and persistent cookies to improve your experience by storing your search, posting and application history, and your login details if you choose. Cookies can be disabled via your web browser; however doing so will limit your access to some of the Crackerjacks features. Our cookies store a hashed version of your email address, and whether you are a contractor or a principal.
Information collected by tracking technologies is NOT linked to any Personally Identifiable Information.
We will have access to and may use other information such as number of users, traffic patterns and demand for the service for the purpose of monitoring server and software performance as well as for our other internal purposes. Further, we may collect information about all system interaction with users while they are logged in.
2. Information Sharing and Disclosure
Crackerjacks will not share your personal information without your permission. For the purposes of our service and in order to engage in a contract, it is necessary for your contact information to be displayed to other site users. You will be asked for your authorisation every time this occurs, and are under no obligation to disclose any personal information.
By providing us with references, you authorise Crackerjacks to contact the referees and obtain reference reviews on you.
If you choose to use our “add user” service to invite an external contractor / user to the site, we will ask you to provide us with their name and email address. We will automatically send the individual an email, including your name and contact email address, inviting him/her to visit the Crackerjacks site. Crackerjacks uses this information to send a once off email to that address, and the recipient has the option to block their address from receiving future emails of this nature.
If you contact us with a request for assistance in using the site, authorised Crackerjacks employees may access your registration details solely in order to aid in answering your questions.
We reserve the right to disclose your personal information when we believe it is appropriate to comply with the law, facilitate court proceedings or to protect the rights of Green Tea Solutions Ltd or Crackerjacks NZ Limited.
Information collected through the website that does not identify users is owned by us and may be used to verify actions taken by a user or to better understand the behaviour of users in order to improve the website. We share aggregated demographic information about our user base with our partners and advertisers.

We will take reasonable technical and organisational precautions to prevent the loss, misuse or unauthorised alteration of your personal information. Sensitive information, such as data entered during the registration process, is encrypted using SSL technology. Credit card payments are encrypted and processed using an external credit card payment processor and details are not stored by Crackerjacks.
If you use the discussion forum on the site, be aware that any personally identifiable information you submit there can be view and used by other site users. Crackerjacks takes no responsibility for any information submitted to the forum.
We have followed generally accepted industry standards in protecting our information. No method is completely secure, however, and while we take all reasonable measures Crackerjacks cannot make any guarantees absolute security.
4. Data Access and Correction
You can change or update your personal information that you provided during the registration process. This can be done by logging into the site and accessing your account via your dashboard, or by contacting us through one of the contact channels listed below. Information will be updated in a timely manner.
Crackerjacks has appointed a Privacy Officer to ensure the site’s continuing commitment to information privacy and to deal with any privacy complaints or disputes that arise.
