What’s in a name? – Crackerjacks

A number of people have asked why we chose the name ‘Crackerjacks’. Other than a brand of gumboot that we all wore in the 80’s and 90’s it has a more literal meaning i.e. ‘a person that shows marked ability or excellence.’ Now ain’t that the truth!
As someone who has hired many people on contract and contracted out my own services to companies, I felt it was important that our name reflected a lot of the things that we want to say about who we are and what we do. As Crackerjacks contractors we are highly skilled & talented, most importantly we get the job done – we get ‘cracking’. That’s what our clients ask for – not warm bodies just filling space and marking time. We wanted a name that was a little more memorable than some of the other providers out there, that had a clear difference in the services market that we could all relate to. Not another jobs site or a me too offer, a clearly distinctive new approach to how we find talent, stand out, and manage our time.
If you’ve registered already thank you for taking the first step into a new era of contracting. We have only been active for a couple of weeks now and already have close to 100 sign ups and we haven’t even started our main business development efforts as yet. Our initial focus is on the IT, Accounting and Finance, Sales and Marketing, HR and Operations areas. If you have exposure to any of these areas we will be talking to you very shortly.
As always if you have any questions at all please don’t hesitate to contact one of us.

Tony
