We’re excited to announce that Job Alerts are now live on Crackerjacks!
Until now, you’ve had to wait for your profile to be requested, or manually search for jobs to source work. But this pro-active feature means you can now save job searches, and then be automatically notified when similar jobs are posted.
To set up a Job Alert:
Step 1:
Join or Log in to your contractor account and ensure your profile is complete – if it isn’t, it’s not possible to search for jobs and set up Job Alerts. The reason why Crackerjacks works this way, is to ensure there’s a high level of quality amongst the candidate pool. We’re all about talent – this is a key reason why businesses hire Crackerjack contractors. It’s important for profiles and performance checks to be completed so that stand-out performers are highlighted and connected up with jobs.
Step 2:
Conduct an Advanced search, by selcting the Search tab at the top of the page (see screen shot below). Just a tip – keep your search quite broad to ensure you don’t miss out on any relevant future jobs.
Step 3:
When the results appear select “Add to Saved Searches” (the blue button in the screen shot below).
Then you are done!
You will automatically be emailed when similar jobs are posted on Crackerjacks. To edit saved searches simply select the Saved Searches tab under in the Search category. You can have up to 10 saved searches functioning at once.
We’d also like to take this opportunity to send a reminder out – please update your contact details and career history if these have changed recently. Simply Log in and select Your Profile to edit these.
Happy contracting!

Question
Is there any other way of viewing what is available other than the ten vacancies on the home page, or is that it!?
Cheers

Hi Quentin
Thanks for your question. You can search for jobs too by using the Advanced or Basic Search tool. The Recently Added job spinner only shows the ten most recent jobs posted, so it doesn’t cover all live jobs. If your search doesn’t find any suitable jobs, you can set up a Job Alert (from the results screen), which means that you will be emailed if similar jobs are posted.
Thanks,
Kristen

Hi, it would be great to be able to browse available job. I have searched for a few roles and received nothing as an output. I dont know if its my search criteria or that there are no jobs. To make me, and others I suspect, feel like there are roles available it would be great to see them in a similar format to say SEEK.
Not being able to see roles isnt making me want to come back here often to support you…
regards
Peter

Hi Peter
Thanks for your comment. You definitely make a relevant point; we have this suggestion on our development project list. An accessible job table where jobs can be browsed is coming. In the meantime we encourage you to set up a Job Alert, this will automatically notify you by email if a job of interest is posted.
Thank you for your support so far.
Kind regards,
Kristen
