There have been some interesting findings revealed in a recent employment survey you need to know:

  • 53% of all New Zealander’s leave their jobs within the first 2 year of being employed.
  • 49% of employees look for a new job between 1-5 times each week.
  • 35% of employees plan to definitely leave their job in the next 12 months (given the opportunity).

As an employer it is important to address retention issues, if not the cost of dealing with lost knowledge, resources and time can spiral out of control.

Having an HR strategy is important, but you need to know what your options are when staff resign.
